Domaine Matilda is an exceptional, tasteful, refined and delicate Rosé.

 

The nose immediately reveals all the elegance of this wine with its exquisite aromatic bouquet delicately combining fresh aromas of cherries, strawberries and citrus zest.

OUR STORY

Our story begins over eight generations ago we first planted vines in the fertile soil in the Southwest of France (Cahors). Passed down through generations, our family has nurtured a deep respect for the land and a passion for crafting exquisite wines.

Every bottle of our rose wine is a testament to generations of expertise and meticulous craftsmanship. From hand-harvesting the grapes to the careful aging process, we uphold the time-honored techniques that have been perfected by our family over the years.

While we cherish our heritage, we also embrace modern winemaking techniques that enhance the quality and sustainability of our wines.

 

Our state-of-the-art facilities ensure that each bottle meets the highest standards, while our commitment to eco-friendly practices protects the land for future generations.

HOW IS DOMAINE MATILDA MADE?

Our rosé is crafted from the finest Malbec Organic grape variety, known for its aromatic qualities, located in the Cahors Valley. This choice brings a unique complexity and aromatic richness that is truly captivating.

 

Manual Harvesting: To  preserve the delicate aromas of the grapes and prevents premature oxidation, we conduct manual harvesting early in the morning during coolest hours of the day. 

 

Direct Pressing: Our method of direct pressing, without maceration, ensures a natural and pure pale pink color, without any chemical additives. This gives our rosé a visual elegance that reflects its intrinsic quality.

 

Temperature-Controlled Fermentation: We carefully control the fermentation temperature between 12 and 16 degrees Celsius. This precise control allows us to extract and retain the maximum amount of aromas.

 

Aging in Stainless Steel Tanks: Our rosé is aged for 3 months in stainless steel tanks, which minimizes oxidation and preserves the wine's freshness and liveliness. This aging technique ensures exceptional stability and purity of aromas.
